“The storm” focuses on Calixta, who is Bibi’s mother. Bibi is out for shopping with her father. Suddenly clouds pile up in the sky indicating an occurrence of a storm. Bobinot has not come home, and this seems to worry her wife, Calixta. She rushes out of the house to remove the washing from the cloth line, when suddenly Alcee drives in her compound on a horse. At first, Calixta is hesitant to invite him in, but later complies with it. Calixta seems to concentrate so much on her Bibi and Bobinot who are out in the storm.
