Depression is a normal ups and downs of life means sadness, despair, or hopelessness that lasts for days, weeks or even longer. Whatever the symptoms, depression is different from normal sadness in that it overtake your day-to-day life, interfering with your ability to work, study, eat, sleep, and have fun. Most of the time, people manage to deal with these feelings and sometimes u don’t. If you feeling depressed, do something about it-it doesn’t go on its own. There are 5 things you can do to feel better.
1.Exercise:
Take 15 to 30 minutes brisk walk everyday or jog, dance whatever u prefer. Depressed people may not feel active much. Make some effort to do exercise anyway. Once you get into exercise, it won't take much time to change your mood. You can practice Aerobics exercise, yoga (breathing exercise and meditation)as it help relive feelings of depression.
2.Proper Nutrition:
Depression affect appetite. One person may not feel like eating but another may overeat. Proper nutrition improves person's mood and energy. Eat plenty of Fruits and vegetables and get regular meal.
Eat fruits to keep you going.
3.Try to figure out the problem, don’t linger on them:
Try to identify your problem which is the cause of your depression. When you know what was your issue and why, talk to your caring friend about it. Talking is a way to express or release the feelings.
Once you discuss it with your friend, feel relax and try to focus on something positive. Ask for help if you need. Try to solve problems. Talk to your friends and family it help relieve depression. They can help you instead of watching u hurt.
4.Express yourself:
With depression, person's creativity and fun may seems blocked. You need to exercise your imagination like painting, drawing, dancing, music, etc.) you not only feel good but you loosen positive emotions also. Taketime to play or do something which makes u happy. Watch funny movie, laughter helps lighten your mood.
5. Look on Bright Side:
Depression affects one's thoughts, making everything seem negative, and hopeless. Depression only bring negativity, make effort to think and notice good things in life. Consider your strengths, gifts, or blessings. Most important, be patient with yourself and remember Depression takes time to heal.
