Intelは、5月5日(現地時間)にミッションクリティカル/大規模サーバー向けCPUの最新製品「Xeon E7 v3」を発表した。Haswell-EXの開発コードネームで開発されてきた同製品は、最大18コアのCPUコアを内蔵しており、DDR4メモリをサポートし、サードパーティ製のチップセットと組み合わせることで、最大で8Way構成で利用できる。
