He began his business career when he was still a college student and embarked on a career in which he founded or acquired over 100 privately or publicly held companies. He has held companies in a broad range of industries including healthcare, defense, aerospace, publishing, agriculture, food, oil and gas real estate and education. Randy Best learned early that he had a knack for discovering opportunities. For example, in his mid-twenties he founded a class-ring company that he sold at a profit when he was only 27 years old. He then went on to a career as one the most prolific and successful entrepreneurs in the state of Texas.
